Welcome to Written Word - A Kind of Diary

I'm Curt, the owner, the old looking one in the picture at the top right of your screen, (Adam, my youngest son is the cute one).

This site isn't somewhere to show off poetry or stories or anything like that, it's actually a place for me to vent, and occasionally stick something funny to make people giggle - mostly this work will be angsty, dealing with emotions past and present that nobody really wants to hear about. Strangely enough, it seems they love reading about them!

At the top of your screen you'll find 4 buttons, A Kind of Diary is where the main bulk of content is - these are poems reflecting something I'm feeling or have felt, poems written to remind me of times, of people and of the things I was going through at any given time - I'm weird, a calendar makes no sense to me - I remember occurences by how I was feeling at the time, or what I was doing.

Just For Fun is where you'll find the poems I just created because I had an 'idea' - mostly the funny one's will end up there.

Other - Everyone has a miscellanious, an uncategorisable something - in my case its poetry and stories, sometimes they just don't fit anywhere. Poems written for people will find their way there.

Which of course brings me to the point of "Why did you make this public?"... Actually, I realised that a diary is no good if it doesn't serve a purpose. In 10 years time most of this info would be useless if only I read it. For it to have a point, for there to be a reason for my writing, others have to enjoy, or hate it... Especially those who inspire the words that fill the screen...

I made it public for the people I love, the people I hate, the people I know and don't know... So that all of those people, can taste the influence they have on my life, good or bad. If you're one of those, you may be looking for a sign that the piece you're looking at is for you - you probably won't find your name on there, check the dates, be creative, read the notes, if it was really meant for you, you'll know....

Okay enough of me.. Now go read!
